Tenants and membership roles
A tenant is a workspace for a project, team or organization. It contains libraries, members and settings. If you belong to several tenants, use the workspace menu in the admin panel to select one. The panel then shows content from that workspace.
You can create a workspace after registration or join one through an invitation.
What your role allows
Each member has one role in each tenant. Your role in one tenant does not affect your role in another.
| Role | Responsibilities |
|---|---|
| Owner | Can manage settings and members, including other Owners, and delete the tenant. The last Owner cannot be removed. |
| Admin | Can manage settings, invite Admins and Members, and change or remove their memberships. Cannot manage Owners or delete the tenant. |
| Member | Can work with the libraries they can access and manage their own application connections. Cannot manage tenant settings or other members. |
These roles govern workspace administration. They do not grant access to every library's contents. A library has separate memberships, described under permissions.
What lives in Tenant settings
Open the workspace menu, choose Settings, and select the tenant in My Tenants. Owners and Admins can edit its settings and manage invitations and members. Owners can also delete it.
The settings include AI providers, the services TKP calls for tasks such as answer generation, document search or transcription. A tenant can choose its own provider for each task or use the defaults set by the installation's operator. You can leave these defaults in place when they meet your needs.
Tenant-specific provider addresses must be public. If you need a model server on a local network, ask the operator to configure it at instance level instead.
